Webs like YouTube, Google Video or Blip.Tv are the at the moment the best sources to see videos over Internet, but they don't allow the direct download of these videos to our hard drive requiring us to be connected to be able to view them.

  Ares Tube is an application that, even though it has the general appearance of a web browser, has been developed for one purpose, to download videos from the most popular sites.

  The only thing that we have to do is go to the web page where the videoclip that we want to download is embedded and click on the button on the top right corner (+), and the video will be added to the download queue. Once we have chosen all the videos that we want to enjoy without having to be connected to the net, we click on the download button and in a few minutes we will have them in MPEG format in the folder we have chosen beforehand. It also allows us to add them directly to our iTunes library.

  Among the web that are compatible with the application we will finde Metacafe, MySpace, Google Video, YouTube, DailyMotion, iFilm, Blip.Tv, Ginvi or Vimeo.
